Oct. 2-3, 9-11, 16-18, 23-25, 29-31 and Nov. 1. Master storyteller Jonathan Kruk offers a dramatic performance of Washington Irving’s classic tale “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” in an incredible setting at the Old Dutch Church. Admissions for the 45-minute performance are by timed ticket only and must be purchased in advance. Parking across the street at Philipsburg Manor.

Select days in Oct. and Nov. Meet a cast of crazy family and servants that make most families look sane! There’s the undead uncle, wacky aunt and miserly father complete with a Halloween dinner with fingers in the finger bowl. The mansion will be specially lighted and will have music and live actors throughout the house. During the day visitors get a unique seasonal experience. With fall foliage and the majestic Hudson River as backdrops, the house is decorated for the season and special tours will explain many Halloween and supernatural experiences.

During October, Washington Irving's Sunnyside celebrates its connection to Washington Irving's classic tale, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”A daytime visit here is the perfect prelude to an evening at Blaze, Horseman’s Hollow, or Irving’s ‘Legend.’ Irving’s fascinating home – a colorful blend of architectural styles – will showcase numerous objects related to Irving’s famous story and other tales. Visitors can also enjoy a shadow puppet performance of the story and experience one of Irving's spooky tales on a walk through the woods. Appropriate for all ages. Timed tours, book ahead.
