This non-collecting institution offers a dynamic and flexible exhibition program, originating ten to twelve exhibitions annually. In addition, they provide lectures, films, workshops, concerts and other events throughout the year. Tom says it’s “one of the best museums you can see locally.”

This project space and artist studio in Croton Falls always welcomes visitors. “We have an exhibition running called ‘The American Shoe Shine Box at The Drive by Gallery’. The concept is to have a gallery where people can simply drive by and see the art from the comfort of their car without having to deal with any annoying artists.”

Recently celebrating its first anniversary, this South Salem spot serves traditional deli items upgraded with a gourmet touch. “They have great sandwiches and hot food” says Tom, “and you can go right across the street to eat on benches outside the South Salem Church for a picturesque view.”

The Pound Ridge Car Show
The Pound Ridge Car Show
Celebrating its tenth anniversary, this Car Show, sponsored by the Pound Ridge Police Benevolent Organization, features a number of classic and contemporary cars, perfect for any gearhead in your family. Several trophies and prizes are awarded, and the event hosts a silent auction fundraiser as well. According to Tom “it’s a great show because it’s outdoors and features tons of classic muscle cars (my favorite).”

Ward Pound Ridge Reservation
Ward Pound Ridge Reservation
The county’s largest park at 4,315 acres, this Reservation provides a variety of activities all year, including fishing, camping, picnicking and cross-country skiing. It is also home to the Trailside Nature Museum, where you can see American Indian artifacts, educational exhibits and nature-oriented artwork. Tom offers an insider tip: “The creek towards the entrance is a great spot for fishing, and you can catch a salmon if you get lucky.”
